The Pipe Factory - Glasgow
The Pipe Factory in Glasgow’s East End has been converted into a studio space for an art collective. This project proposes a small extension to the existing building which would house a gallery, cafe and kitchen space. The building is based on two main concepts: firstly, that the construction should provide the artists with a simple shell which they can easily modify for their needs, and secondly, that there should be a relationship with the local area so the building can become an asset to the whole community.
