Free Wheel North - Glasgow Green

In 2015-16  I volunteered at Free Wheel North,  a cycling charity based on Glasgow Green that helps people learn to cycle. The charity specifically focuses on people with physical and learning disabilities, and offers a range of modified and specialist bikes to allow anyone to experience the freedom of cycling. They also run a closed track in the Green which is very popular with the local children, whatever their bike riding ability.

I spent my time accompanying a group of students on led rides along the Clyde, and supervising at the track. I also participated in a learn-to-ride day which was great fun, and I refurbished an old bicycle which was donated to the project.
